In 2000, we developed a modular display-case system that meets the highest conservation standards. These cases have all the qualities that are sought by the museum curators and technicians who use them.
Available in two complementary formats, this type of case is modular in all directions. All configurations are possible—L-shaped, T-shaped, or even H-shaped. The cases are really easy to put up and take down quickly with just one tool, no special equipment is needed.
These display cases are also airtight and climate-controlled, they can house the most sensitive items or artifacts.
The head cabinet is ventilated and protected by anti-UV and heat-protective glass. A lighting system on rails allows for a wide variety of uses. Such uses may range from focusing the light on one item to providing general illumination.
Finally, each model is fitted with a discrete, light, and multipurpose system of suspended glass shelving.
Our new Z-2 models, all steel/glass, are built from a solid steel sheet frame, that has been manufactured, cut and punched, by digitally controlled equipment. This advanced technology has significantly cut costs and helped us reach the tight manufacturing tolerances we need.
This architecture is available for freestanding cases or tabletop cases.

Like our modular cases, each freestanding model is airtight and has a climate-controlled chamber, which you may access via a drawer in the base. It can house the most sensitive artifacts in security as their construction respects the higher conservation guidelines for casework.
The lighting system is mounted on rails in the head cabinet, which is ventilated and features an anti-UV and heat-protective glass. Special small spotlights mounted on swivelling fixtures make a wide variety of uses possible, from focusing light on one item to creating general illumination.
The digital manufacturing technology we use for our freestanding cases is also used for the metal frames of our tabletop cases, so these models offer the same qualities and meet the same conservation criteria. Each table top display case is fitted with a glass bonnet that opens with the assistance of gas pistons. You may choose a model that rests on legs or on a pedestal.
The model on legs has a sharp, clean look. Underneath the case is the silica gel drawer, which opens out and slides forward for easy access. A real gem.
As effective, less expensive.. still our goal
We design and manufacture two kinds of wallcase models: surface-mounted and built-in. These models open on hinges or through a pull-and-slide system. We can add complementary fixtures, such as shelving, lighting, or climate-control systems. The safety-glass panels are either tempered or laminated.
The surface-mounted model is installed to a wall through an ingenious system that includes a fastening lock you can access only from inside the case. The built-in model has a back panel you can easily remove to access the supporting frame.
Finally, we offer a very economical built-in model. It has an airtight opening system that includes glass doors, the opening mechanisms, and finishing hardware. It’s available in whatever size you wish! This system is integrated into a case that can be made to our specifications by local exhibit building firms. It is then set into the exhibition area wall. The ZK kit provides everything necessary and may be fastened to cases of different depths.
When a museum exhibition is being planned, the layout and look of the display cases may take on special importance. These cases are therefore designed as part of an overall concept and their dimensions and finishes must meet the exact specifications of the exhibition designers.
To date, we’ve manufactured all types of display cases. Some have been monumental in dimension, including possibly the largest one in Canada. Some have been very small, while still meeting the specifications of the most difficult curator and featuring specialized security systems and miniaturized LED lighting equipment.
We can design and manufacture display cases with different types of access through openings that swing or slide open. You may choose a model with or without climate-control capacity, with a glass top, or with a lighting chamber. Our glazing comes in all types: tempered or laminated, regular, ultra-white, or non-reflecting.
